Can nagios be used to the autonomic network management?Does it have some ways to make the monitor platform be autonomic,if somebody had worked on it, please help me ,thank you!

Nagios can be used to monitor the host and network, but when it found the problems ,it can't fix it ,also ,we can not use it to manage the host or network,right?
what i want to ask is : are there any methods to make nagios have the ability of management.

You can use event handlers to correct issues as they're detected.
