Please note that this issue has been resolved in Nagios XI 2024R1.4.3Nagios XI - Upgrade Instructions for Nagios XI 2024 |
You may experience that your login screen constantly flashes, or refreshes, after you have upgraded to Nagios XI 2024R1.4.2.
We have made some changes to how we manage cookie timeouts on the web interface, which has caused issues with customers who have set their session timeouts to 0 or a negative number. We are working on fixing the issue and restoring the ability to set the session timeouts to 0, to keep users from being logged out for inactivity.
The solution, for now, is to change the cookie timeouts to a positive number. You can make this change by logging in to Xi as admin (click the X on the refresh button to allow you to log in). Then navigate to Admin > System Settings> Security TAB and enter the desired positive number in the Session Timeout. We recommend using 9999 as the max number that can be entered.
We expect to fix this issue in an upcoming version of XI, so you can change this field back to 0.
