NRDS is a method of monitoring which is a passive hybrid and is becoming very popular. We will explore how to implement NRDS and then move into ways to expand the capabilities of NRDS by allowing multiple check periods, customizing configuration scripts, auto configuring cron jobs, downloading custom install packages, and generally how to add features that may be useful when NRDS is deployed on Linux systems. One of those useful features will be store-and-forward so that any disconnects automatically will rebuild the data and graphing on Nagios using timestamps.
