Title:The statusmap, trends and histogram CGIs exist but produce an error when accessed
FAQ ID:F0119

Description:

I know I have all the right libraries installed (libgd, libpng, libjpeg, and zlib) and the CGI's were compiled, but I am still getting an error when I try to access them.

Solution:

From within the sbin subdirectory (usually /usr/local/nagios/sbin), run the following command:

ldd statusmap.cgi

The output from this command will show you what libraries the CGI needs and whether or not it can find them. This can show you if you have a version or path problem that is preventing the CGI from using/finding the right libraries. Repeat the command for the trends CGI (trends.cgi) and histogram CGI (histogram.cgi) to check for problems with those as well.
