|Title:||How can I send notifications via SMS?|
|Submitted By:||Daniel Geske |
|Description:||User would like to have notifications sent out in SMS using a phone line. |
SMS messages can be sent with several programs, one of which is yaps (Yet Another Pager Software).
Once yaps is installed and working, command definitions like these can be added and used.
command_line /usr/bin/yaps -t $CONTACTPAGER$ '$NOTIFICATIONTYPE$: $HOSTNAME$: $SERVICEDESC$ is $SERVICESTATE$ ($OUTPUT$)'
command_line /usr/bin/yaps -t $CONTACTPAGER$ '$NOTIFICATIONTYPE$: $HOSTNAME$ is $HOSTSTATE$ ($OUTPUT$)'
You can also use a hardware product like the SMS FoxBox to send SMS messages.
