Title:How can I have Nagios process multiple object configuration files?
FAQ ID:F0072
Submitted By:Ethan Galstad
Last Updated:09/25/2002

Description:

User would like to split object definitions into multiple config files and have Nagios process each config file.

Solution:

The cfg_file directive in the main config file is used to tell Nagios what object config file to process. If you want to have Nagios process multiple config files that contain object definitions, you can use the cfg_file directive as follows (one entry per config file):

cfg_file=/usr/local/nagios/etc/file1.cfg
cfg_file=/usr/local/nagios/etc/file2.cfg
cfg_file=/usr/local/nagios/etc/file3.cfg
...
