How to Change the Naming Patterns for backup files

Hi,

It seems that all backup file (.tar.gz) alway tailed with a timestamp postfix.

Is there any way to replace the timestamp with sequence number?

Because it needs more effort to do "file rotate" with the timestamp; it would be much easier with just a tailed fixed number.
