Well, I've tried again on a completely different PC - still get same error, access denied when creating role & database.
Think I'll go back to v1.4 !! I had no problem with that (let's hope that's still OK!)

I did a clean CentOS 5.6 install, downloaded R1.5 and run ./fullinstall, so there was nothing pre-existing. I was not installing over the top of an existing installation. I assume that the error is in the scripting somewhere.

Hi Have just tried installing 2011R1.5 from scratch (mucked up my previous machine with R1.4 on!), but it errors out with the following: ERROR: PostgresQL user 'nagiosxi' was not created - exiting. Any news on this yet? I'm trialling various Nagios-based products, incl. Nagios XI. I do like the look of NagVis, which I've played with on OpsView. I prefer the functionality/look of Nagios XI, but the non-functioning NagVis is holding me back from recommending it to my boss! Is there a manual work...
