XI 2011R1.5 error?

Hi
Have just tried installing 2011R1.5 from scratch (mucked up my previous machine with R1.4 on!), but it errors out with the following:

ERROR: PostgresQL user 'nagiosxi' was not created - exiting.
ERROR: Nagios XI database was not setup properly - exiting.

Thoughts?

Was postgresql or mysql installed before running the install scripts? If it were that would prevent users from being created successfully. We'll run a verification on the installer scripts as well just to be sure.

I did a clean CentOS 5.6 install, downloaded R1.5 and run ./fullinstall, so there was nothing pre-existing. I was not installing over the top of an existing installation. I assume that the error is in the scripting somewhere.

Ok, we've tested multiple times on CentOS 5.6 and so far we haven't been able to recreate that particular issue. We'll keep our eyes peeled for it, and if it shows up again we'll go after it.

Well, I've tried again on a completely different PC - still get same error, access denied when creating role & database.

Think I'll go back to v1.4 !! I had no problem with that (let's hope that's still OK!)

Do you have gnome installed on CentOS?

Are you running the installer from somewhere other than the /tmp/nagiosxi directory? The install scripts needs to be run from the /tmp/nagiosxi directory otherwise there will be permissions problems during the installation.
