Re: Upgrade PHP from 7.2 to 7.3

This is an interesting thread and I see php v8 is out since last November - will NagiosXI work if we upgrade to that or is it safer to saty on 7.3 or 7.4?

Feature Request

Hi Folks, Just noticed the Nagios Core migration feature that allows you to migrate your core to an XI instance and it looks great! It would be very handy if we had something similar to migrate/copy configs etc from XI to XI. I know you can do a backup and restore fromone server to another but what ...

Oracle Security Alert Advisory - CVE-2020-14750

Hi Team, I got notification from my company's Cyber Sec dept that Nagios XI is vulnerable to Oracle Security Alert Advisory - CVE-2020-14750. I can't find a patch on the oracle site without being a customer it seems - my free account I logged into does not work. Will Nagios be issuing a patch for th...

Re: help on correct path for passive disk check

Hi, Yeah turned out it was a permissions thing which threw me off as if I become Nagios and do a df -h I can see the % of all the mount points so I didn't join the dots until you said it. Can't change the permissions so have done a custom script instead - below for reference for anyone else that may...

help on correct path for passive disk check

Hey Folks, Using ncpa passive checs to monitor disk space. Works fine for and the ones below except the very last one on the list (the linuxsfs9). [root@serverx tmp]# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/sda3 976M 616M 309M 67% / tmpfs 37G 0 37G 0% /dev/shm /dev/sda1 186M 116M 62M 6...

Re: Host in pending on both NagiosXI 5.6.14 and 5.7.1

About 2 hours later the host showed up in green and it seems to be working now still don't understand it as it kept appearing in unconfigured objects each time I would remove and re add so the server was definitely able to reach the NagiosXI servers.

Host in pending on both NagiosXI 5.6.14 and 5.7.1

Hi Folks, Really weird issue that I am at a loss to figure out. Have Prod (5.6.14) and DEV NagiosXI (it was on 5.7 until this morning and after the issue occurred & I upgraded to 5.7.1 to see would it fix) Successfully on-boarded x4 passvice ncpa Windows servers today and made no changes to Nagi...

Operations Screen Audio Alerts

Hi Team,

Just seen the update for 5.7 saying "Operations Center now supports customizable audio alerts for those wanting to reinforce critical notifications."

I can't seem to see how to do this so is there a pdf on this with instructions not listed on the usually admin/user support pages?
