Re: CVE-2024-12254 - python 3.12 in current NCPA distribution
Agreed, can't use a pre-release, but when a patched version is generally available, it should be incorporated in a new NCPA release.

CVE-2024-12254 - python 3.12 in current NCPA distribution
The latest version of NCPA (3.1.1) includes Python 3.12.6 which falls into the CVE-2024-12254 vulnerability list. There needs to be a new version released that has Python of at least version 3.14.0a2.

Without changing anything with NCPA on the monitored machines, I deleted the configuration from the Nagios server and added them back as Oracle hosts rather than Solaris hosts. Strangely, things have been quiet and stable so far. Does SunOS equate to Oracle?

I have a pair of Sun/Oracle SPARC 7 boxes running SunOS 5.11 I've installed NCPA as per instructions. NCPA_listener and NCPA_passive both start and run... for a little while... then the listener dies.
