In monitoring an hpc cluster w 2500 nodes, is there a open source way to set some notification logic, so if an identical event occurs across dozens, hundreds, or even all 2500 nodes, that I can reduce the notifications down to just a few or even one? I've seen commercial products like BigPanda, etc....

Is there anyway to use this with hpux? I'm running an hp9000 w hpux 11.31, hp's version of snmp and system insight manager, and check_insight_agents 2.0 plugin. It queries windows boxes fine, but the oid's appear different for hpux. I can query things like memory usage, disk space, cpu, etc., but I ...
