Re: Disapearing NagiosXI Users?
When user attempts to login, they get "Invalid username or password." This got me looking at the IP configured for the Domain Controllers. At one time we had 4 DCs. Now we only have 2. As my luck would have it, the module was pointed at the 2 that got turned off. I guess the Windows admins...

Re: Disapearing NagiosXI Users?

Now trying to figure out why this adm...

Re: Windows Servers Loose Ping Packets
I think a template was supplied for me when I added the windows boxes using the configuration wizard. Here is a representitive sample from the /usr/local/nagios/etc/services subdirectory: define service { host_name bay service_description Ping use xiwizard_windowsserver_ping_service max_check_attemp...

Re: Windows Servers Loose Ping Packets
And where/how do I do this? If I look at the Service Status Detail"/"ping"/"configure"/"reconfigure this service"/"monitoring tab", the "Monitor the service with this command..." box is empty - no command - no parameters to modify. If I look at ...

Windows Servers Loose Ping Packets
I have pointed out to our Microsoft Windows Administrators that Nagios does not like the way that Windows machines respond to pings: most of the time response is fairly rapid and complete (no loss of packets). On regular intervals, however, any windows server will fail the ping checks and return the...

Ok. I will check (d,u,r) and (w,u,c,r). Thanks for the heads-up.
One more question before we close this topic: Each notification_option contains an "s". What does that stand for?
