Yup, I only commented out the section that was making changes to sysctl.conf. Oddly, it did seem to make the changes successfully, but still threw an error.
Ndoutils is running fine.
Thanks,
Gavin

Re: Problem With Installation
I commented out that section of the script, and it installed fine. It looks like it did make the changes it was supposed to make too.
Odd - please feel free to close this thread.

Problem With Installation
I'm trying to install the latest build of Nagios XI on a Centos 6.2 (x64) VM. I'm running the installer as root and am unable to get past: make[2]: Entering directory `/tmp/nagiosxi/subcomponents/ndoutils/ndoutils-1.5.2/src' gcc -fPIC -g -O2 -I/usr/include/mysql -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -D BUILD_NAGIOS_3X -o...

Re: 'SERVICEPROBLEMID' Questions
Great. Just to confirm, when you say 'globally' unique, does this apply to both 'HOSTPROBLEMID' and 'SERVICEPROBLEMID'? I'm planning on using just one field in the CRM for both Host and Service problems.
Thanks,
Gavin

'SERVICEPROBLEMID' Questions
We have Nagios configured so that, every time it sends an alert, it sends an e-mail to our CRM system. This logs a ticket, which we can then use for reporting, customer notifications etc. Currently, we do not send 'OK' notifications, or repeat notifications, because both would log a new ticket. We a...

Change subject of e-mail-to-text notifications?
We're unable to use the native e-mail-to-text notifications tool as we're a UK-based company and none of the carriers here offer that functionality (i.e. the ability to send an e-mail to '%number%@txt.att.net'). We currently use a 3rd Party gateway, and have users configured on Nagios to send out te...

Removing Default Templates
We're running Nagios XI 2012R1.6, and would like to remove some of the default service/host templates which we're almost certainly never going to use. For example, we don't have, nor are we likely to ever have, any Oracle servers to monitor. Is it safe to just remove the 'xiwizard_oracleserverspace_...

Re: Check_Openmanage - Performance Graph
No such luck. I guess this is just an incompatibility with the version of PNP installed on XI? Seems a shame, particularly as 'check_openmanage' is probably the best and most comprehensive Nagios Plugin out there.
Hopefully it'll work when PNP gets upgraded in a later release.
Thanks,
Gavin

Check_Openmanage - Performance Graph
I've got check_openmanage working via. SSH / SNMP. However, I'm having trouble getting the pnp graphs to work. The command I've created is simply called 'check_openmanage', and the perfdata output looks like this: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s89/sh/1b4db8f7-c8aa-4c2a-8996-d4b4db901777/1b0a2835ae4...
