Re: Scheduled Downtime List Is Empty
Thanks Scott. Running the job gave me an error, which jogged my memory. I don't have a lot of Linux experience, so somethings slip by me without thinking. After identifying a problem with our system that prevented scheduled downtimes running on 29-31 Mar, I was sent a new recurringdowntime.pl file a...

Re: Scheduled Downtime List Is Empty
Is there any way to force the Recurring Downtimes to be scheduled? I'm a Windows Admin by trade, so I'm not familiar with most of the CLI options available with Nagios XI. I did reboot the server when we first identified the problem, which was over 30 hours ago. My Recurring Downtime list is still t...

Re: Scheduled Downtime List Is Empty
After some further testing, I've realized that I can schedule a downtime from the Scheduled Downtime page and it appears on the list. However, if I go back to Recurring Downtime and click Add Schedule and create a recurring downtime, it does not appear on the list. I wanted to make the distinction i...

Scheduled Downtime List Is Empty
I have 90 recurring downtimes that run every day of the week. They run just fine and we have eliminated unnecessary alerts in the middle of the night as intended. However, last night, the alert messages came rolling in. We have had a similar issue in the past, but only during the last two days of Ma...

Re: Memory Usage Check Results Are Misleading
After searching the Support Forum again this morning, I found this, http://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5367&p=23606&hilit=physical+memory&sid=ba4a7fecd8ead2d30c57711dcbf04e2d#p23606; I'm not sure why I didn't see it the other day. Based on dbeasley's reply, we'll hav...

Memory Usage Check Results Are Misleading
After being notified that a monitored server's memory (RAM) was pegging consistently, we realized we were not receiving any notifications. After looking at the checks, we realized that while the "Used" amount of memory was being reported correctly, the "Total" was not. The number...

Re: Recurring Downtime Date Shift
I'll take that in the kindest way. I may have to open a new topic as we've discovered a discrepancy in how Nagios determines the amount of memory a monitored computer contains. I'll be searching the forums first.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Recurring Downtime Date Shift
I have copied the file as instructed, but am afraid I won't be able to tell until next March if it truly works. Thank you and have a good day.

Recurring Downtime Date Shift
Last year, on 30 Mar 11, I opened a topic (http://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1969) describing a problem where my scheduled downtimes, scheduled for every day of the week, skipped forward about three days into the future. I was referred to another open topic (http://support.nag...

Editing the install files
We've experienced some conflicts with NRPE and software we run on our servers, due to port 5666 useage. I've gotten instruction on disabling the NRPEListener.dll in the NSC.ini, after it's installed on the monitored client. Since we're not using NRPE checks as the standard, I'd like to be able to ed...
