We've experienced some conflicts with NRPE and software we run on our servers, due to port 5666 useage. I've gotten instruction on disabling the NRPEListener.dll in the NSC.ini, after it's installed on the monitored client. Since we're not using NRPE checks as the standard, I'd like to be able to edit the install files so the NRPEListener.dll is remarked out when it gets installed.
First, can this be done, by someone like me?
Second, where are the files located on the NagiosXI server?
Thanks.
Editing the install files
Re: Editing the install files
So you're looking to disable the NRPE listener on the windows client machines on all of your default agent installs?
To my understanding, the NRPE listener is actually disabled by default on an NSClient++ install.
The following doc outlines how to *enable* the NRPE listener on a client install, you can review the steps an work backwards...??...
http://library.nagios.com/library/produ ... h-nsclient
If that doesn't get you what you need let us know and we'll get it figured out.
