Dear All,

I just want to check if it is possible that if we have two host A and B, A is a parent to B , if A is down i should get notification for A only not B. Also the same case for the switches.

Thanks found it sorry for my ignorance. One last question is there is any way so i can change it for all the service or i have to do it one by one coz i have lots of services.

If one service/host failed i just need one notification not every hour.

Dear All,

Is it possible that i will get only one notification of any service of host failure or warning state. And is there is any common place to update ll coz i have around 100 hosts and around 2000 services so it will be difficult to do it one by one.

Dear All, I need help with checking the internet connectivity with nagios. We have two connections coming to Linux based gateway. Every time there is a link down it is difficult to detect. Is there is any script for it as of now if i have to check the connection i use mtr --address IPADDRESS 4.2.2.2...

Acknowledge service is working after restarting my nagios server again.

The script did not solve the problem but stopped all my graphs. It changed the permission of /usr/local/nagios/perfdata and its respective directories to 666 although in script it is 755

Sorry still the same error after changing the permissions also

tried restarting nagios and nagiosxi also.
