Hi - i've managed to set up SNMP monitoring today and am running monitoring on some test servers. Sorry for appearing scattergun in my approach to using Nagios I am just trying to learn what it can do. The quickstart should help me out somewhat tomorrow and i'll get a better handle on what it can do...

Thank you for the reply, I wasnt sure whether to use host or service groups. The reason for service groups was to manage application processes so I can see when AV for example isnt running on a VM or when vcenter service has stopped. I have a quickstart tomorrow with Nagios support which should help...
