Re: Nagios API to add and change service check

I have resolved that in the following way. Nagios is using the named-pipe "/usr/local/nagios/var/rw/nagios.cmd" to run commands (external commands). I had to pipe a command (for example "SCHEDULE_HOST_SVC_DOWNTIME" for propagated downtime) to this on order to set some services fo...

Nagios API to add and change service check

I'm using NagiosXI (2011R2.4) and we need to be able to change current service checks and to add a new one through API. For example: 1. I need to add a new URL (check_http) check for existing host and configure the run interval. 2. Change thresholds of specific service check. I'm familiar with the N...

Re: Empty Graphs

I am not on manual install.
We installed the vendor VMWare image (32 bit).
The only thing was changed is MySQL package due to performance issues (which was rolled-back after starting having trouble with an upgrade)

Re: Upgrade

Before I will dig into it:
Does the documentation deal with the version differences ?
Is the new version of Nagios and NagiosXI backward compatible in terms of DB and configuration files ?

thanks.

Re: Upgrade

Question: I understand that in-place upgrade is not possible now. I woud like to install the base official latest CentOS on the new server. Install the latest NagiosXI and port DB, config files, (something else?) from our server in order to migrate the current installation. Is that possible ? If yes...

Re: Upgrade

Your responses take too long.
We cannot afford this downtime for business critical server, so we have reverted it again ...
Can you please update us when are you online to assist us with an upgrade ?
We have a number of issues you can see above.
