Re: network switch snapshop capture
What that article and it's top answer are stating is that Nagios is a monitoring application. It is not designed for the purposes of device/machine configuration management. You might be interested in something like Chef or Puppet for that use case. There may be some unofficial components/extension...

network switch snapshop capture
hi all
please correct me if I am wrong but will nagios capture the snap shots of the switches it connects to?
if so how do you do it?
looked over the knowledge base but the only snapshot management seams to be the config of nagios.

memory demand
is it normal for the memory demand to jump when asking for a map view?
currently its hovering about 10gb of ram monitoring about 20 switches/stacks, but at times it jumps to a number in the billions of mb's of ram.

setting up nagios to work with cisco
I have a question
just setting up nagios xi, but we have twin nexus 9k boxes with 80gb pipe between them, each of the feeder cisco stacks has twin 10gb links to make 20gb pipes
how can I show this on a map or view? does nagios handle the links/bonded links thought put correctly ?
thanks
andy
