Is there alternative to check_host_alive not working?
Hi, I typically use check_host_alive command configured in the CCM to monitor the target server if it is up or down. However, I just came across some redhat servers which are up, but the check_host_alive command results in the message "CRITICAL - 10.155.100.101: rta nan, lost 100%" making ...

Checking certificate on port 8443
Hi, In order for me to monitor the certificate expiry date on a target host I create a service configuration in CCM as follows and the config below work well except when the SSL traffic is on a different port other than 443. Example would be port 8443. How do I change my parameters below to monitor ...

Re: LDAP integration and import users logon failure
@cdienger, Yes, I use special character in my password(@), but how does this affect the logon? Also, the LDAP server integration page is only asking for the base DN, not for the user so the part you mentioned about the user's DN is not expected in the config page or when logging on - let me know if ...

LDAP integration and import users logon failure
Hi, I configured my LDAP server and then I tried to logon to import the users from AD in Windows 2012 R2, but I get this logon failure message. Unable to authenticate: 80090308: LdapErr: DSID-0C09042F, comment: AcceptSecurityContext error, data 52e, v2580 This is my config for one of my AD server fo...

Re: email notification apply to service groups?
@kyang, I see the default template, but I'm not sure what to do from there. As an example I have a service group "Web Services" and contact group "Web Operations Group" which has number of contacts. How do I make it so that all services that are part of "Web Services" s...

email notification apply to service groups?
Hi, I defined email settings and enabled notifications alerts. I can reconfigure hundreds of my defined services to define the notification alert settings, but is there a way I can define the email notification setting once in a service group and then make it effectively apply to all services that a...

Re: unable to define the command in check HTTP in service
@npolovenko, thanks for the detailed and clear explanation. However, it still doesn't work for me because when I modify the command to use -H this still picks up the IP address rather than picking up abc.xyz.com, hence, I get the same error. I even tried configuring a host and defined the address us...
