Re: Monitoring Engine Not Working on DR Server (ramdisk errors)
Thanks for your help. I checked the server this morning and resolved a minor issue with a command file. Everything seems to be OK now. This topic can be closed, but I'm about to open another one

Re: Monitoring Engine Not Working on DR Server (ramdisk errors)
Thank you for your reply, @gwesterman. None of our servers have the /var/run/nagios folder - not even the ones that are working. But I went ahead and created it on our DR server and restarted Nagios. Still not working. /var/run/nagios folder that I created: drwxr-xr-x 2 nagios nagios 40 Oct 17 09:22...

Monitoring Engine Not Working on DR Server (ramdisk errors)
Hello all, On our Nagios disaster recovery (DR) server, we normally keep the monitoring engine turned off (Admin | System Status, click icon to start or stop). This morning I updated the server to Nagios 2024R1.3 and thought it would be a good idea to check that Nagios was working properly. I checke...

Re: "Invalid Host Header" after upgrade
Same issue here after the update. I found that it worked if I used the IP address, which I believe is what I had for "Program URL". Per someone's support forum advice, I added the URL I was using in my shortcut to "External URL" and it worked. I used the server name without the d...

Re: Update appears to be stuck (it's not) BUT.....
Thank you, "jsimon". I followed your advice and entered a URL with the server name we use in External URL. I will look into the php limitation you described when I have a chance. Thanks again for your help. This topic can be closed.

Update appears to be stuck (it's not) BUT.....
UPDATE: since updating Nagios XI to version 2024R1.2.2, I can no longer get to the UI in a browser using a URL with the server name. I must use the IP address instead. With the server name, I get "Invalid Host Header" on a white page In the UI for updating Nagios, There is a text box that...

CentOS to RHEL Migration -- License Question
Good morning, all. For the purposes of migrating from CentOS 7 to RHEL, we have created 3 new RHEL 9.3 VMs and installed the latest version of Nagios XI on each one. My question is, when I go to the new Nagios XI sites, I am prompted for 'License Settings'. I'm not sure what to do here since we alre...

Update Warnings, Standalone Check
Good morning, all. After updating to version 5.11.3, the log showed some warnings followed by the total number of warnings. I made the corrections as indicated in the warnings. Is there a standalone way to check that I've gotten rid of all the warnings? Or do I have to wait until the next update? Al...

PHP Notice: DB is not connected.....
Hello. Multiple times per minute this line of text is appended to the /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/nom.log file on our production, development and disaster recovery Nagios servers: PHP Notice: DB is not connected in /usr/local/nagiosxi/html/includes/db.inc.php on line 399 I'm not sure when this started, ...
