Nagios 2014R1.0: HOstgroup.../Service Group... slowness

Post by questrad »

Hello,

I have noticed if I have any non green state in Host or Service the Hostgroup.../Servicegroup... show up slowly if I compare it to 2012.

Do you have any idea why?

2014 - clean install
2012 - clean install

Could you clarify? Are the issues with both the hostgroup and servicegroup summaries, or something else?

Browse to a page with the overviews and then post a tail of:

Code: Select all

tail -25 /var/log/httpd/error_log

There is no any error messages for the time I do it.

I have updated "utils-backend.inc.zip" based on this conversation:
http://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtop ... 129#p98353

May it fix the slowness as well?

Because it is not slow anymore if I compare to 2012.

Thanks

I suppose it is possible, or maybe it just took some time? Those pages are updating at the same rate of change that the 2012 server is showing now?

No
The amount on 2012 was more - it is about 6000 service
On 2014 it is about 200 for now :)

The utils.backend.inc code is something only our developers have access to, so I am not entirely sure what was changed. I think slansing is right here, it was either an intermittent problem or the update fixed it.
