Nagios XI 2012R2.9
RHEL 6.5 x64
Manual Install
Firefox 23
I have noticed that the round hour glass keeps on showing up on the browser window.
It will not go off until we refresh the page which bring us back to the home page.
This is very annoying, refresh supposed to refresh the current page.
Please advice on this.

Re: Constant Hourglass on UI
I notice this in Chrome. I don't use IE or FF as much but I haven't noticed it in either of those browsers yet.
I like graphs...

What are the pages that don't refresh properly? Are you seeing the same behavior in all browsers?

Re: Constant Hourglass on UI
It is mostly in the service status view. However when this icon shows up, whatever link we press it will still be there until we do a page reload or refresh.lmiltchev wrote:What are the pages that don't refresh properly? Are you seeing the same behavior in all browsers?
Then it goes off and come back later.
I have not tried in any other browser.

This happens every time, Apply Configuration is executed and another tab is currently open with Service Status view.

Re: Constant Hourglass on UI
I've seen this behavior with older versions of Nagios XI, including Nagios XI 2012R2.9. I don't see it in Nagios XI 2014, so I believe this bug has been fixed even though I couldn't find any references to it in the changes log.

Re: Constant Hourglass on UI
I can duplicate this behaviour now.
Open a tab with Service Status View.
Then press Ctrl and Click on the Configure in the top toolbar which opens in a new tab.
The hour glass will remain forever.
However if I do not press Ctrl and do the same thing then the hour glass disapears when the Configure screen loads up.
No problems using IE only FIreFox.

Re: Constant Hourglass on UI
I'm not able to reproduce this on firefix 29.0.1, what version are you using?
Does this happen on other pages for you which you can reproduce? Looks like another user saw it in Chrome, but not firefox.

I checked again and it happens no matter what the original XI screen is on.
Just need to press Ctrl and open any other screen in a new tab.
Wonder what is the problem.

Re: Constant Hourglass on UI
I've intermittantly seen this issue in the past (but not as frequent as you).
The only thing I think may be a factor is delay. I've usually seen it on my laptop when using WiFi and the single strength might not be the best.
