Which agent specifically? But yes, they will be compatible, you would hear from us if they were not. We try not to let anything out the door that breaks reverse compatibility, or we try to make sure that if it is under our control, that it is updated to work. The agents are completely separate from XI and Core though...

Nagios XI 2014 is currently in the 1.0 release which is stable. Some users are reporting difficulties upgrading, however we have been able to help them through the process. Most of the issues were pre-existing issues relating to their Core files.

hi,

I have two nagios servers, one is the old version (nagiosxi 2.9), and the other has the new version(2014), and I need to stop the old one and replace IPs so all the servers will integrate with the new nagios(2014) , but I have problem here that is:
when I prepare the new server I take image from the old nagios server then I upgrade it to 2014 and this happened before two months, and I need now to stop old server and replace IP, so all the monitored servers will integrate the new nagios, but the data of the last two months will be not available on the new nagios, so how can I move the data of the last two months to new nagios.

Run a backup from the 2012r2.9 box and then restore to the new 2014 box.
