Did you try installing the auto-discovery wizard from the link I PM-ed you?

Note: Don't worry about the version number - just install the wizard over the old one. Remove the "old" scan jobs and rerun the wizard.

BTW, do you see any results if you click on "Refresh job list"?

I have installed the wizard that you sent by PM.
I am waiting for the result.

No, I can not see any result when ı click on "Refresh".

Did you look at the "auto discovery screen shots.docx" file which I attached on previous post?

If you don't mind my chiming in ... I had similar issues until the most recent version of Nagios XI and the Auto-Discovery Wizard that came out in the past couple of weeks. I needed to install the most recent versions, then deleted my Auto-Discovery jobs, apply the configurations, wrote the config files, then did a server reboot.
Those steps appeared to have worked for me.

Hi lmiltchev,

Unfortunately, it did not work. it failed and "Last Run" field changed again.

Thank you so much PhilG,

Can you tell me the steps more clearly?
What should I do?

Thank you so much PhilG,

What should I do?

1). Run a backup on your server - http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... ios-XI.pdf
2). Upgrade Nagios XI to the latest version (which should include the newer version of Auto-Discovery plug-in) - http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... nstall.pdf
3). Go to your Auto-Discovery job:
Click on "Configure" in the top menu, click on "Run the Auto-Discovery Wizard", in the "Auto-Discovery Jobs" window click on the "X" (delete job) under the "Actions" column.
4). Click "Advanced Configuration" (or under that menu option on the left click "Core Config Manager", then under "Quick Tools" click "Apply Configuration", then click "Apply Configuration" button on the right.
5). Once completed, scroll down on the left side and click "Write Config Files" under "Tools".
6). Click "Write" button. Once the process completes, then verify if any errors and then click "Verify" button. Once the process completes, then verify if any errors and then click "Restart" button.
7). When all is complete, remote in to your Nagios XI server and do a restart (logged in as your local Admin or whatever account provides you root access and do a "/sbin/shutdown -r now".
8). Verify that the server comes back with no issues.
9). Log back into your Nagios XI monitor and try running another Auto-Discovery.
NOTE: It took almost 45 minutes to check and verify each of my subnets with address W.X.Y.Z/24

If this doesn't work, then continue working with these fine folks. They got me up and running.

Can you run the following command and show us the output?

Code: Select all
