Nagios EventLog Control Manager

Post by hillhealthcenter »

Hi,

I'm trying to configure monitoring of Windows Event Logs and get this error when I try to Test NSCA daemon .
Error: Could not connect to host on port 5667 (2)

The remote server OS is Windows 2008 R2 64-bit

These are the actions that I've taken:
Configured NSCA on the Nagios XI server
The Windows Event Log Monitoring Wizard was previously installed
Installed the NagEventLog agent version 1.9.2.0
Thanks so much,
Tom

It looks like the ports on the Nagios XI server need opening.

On the Nagios XI box type:

Code: Select all

iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --destination-port 5667 -j ACCEPT
/sbin/service iptables save
Now try the Test NSCA daemon button.
