In the dashlet for Today's Alerts By Hour, it appears to calculate this value from each individual notification to each recipient. I would think it would be more appropriate to count how many actual alerts, not notifications, no?
When I show this upper management, they freak out thinking we XX number of problems where we actually on had (XX/10)
Thoughts?

I'll look into this for you - I wasn't aware that it is doing this it should only be showing actual alerts not notifications... though it's possible the cached version in Fusion is not pulling it right and it might be a bug.
Can you check in Naigos XI for alerts for the last 24 hours? Under Reports -> State History you should select "both" for the "State Types" and "24 hours" for the time period and the amount of alerts there should be the amount of alerts on your Fusion box for the single XI server.

Looking at State History on the XI instance shows one record per alert, as I would expect it to.

Upon closer inspection, I'm not even sure what it is trying to match this with, mine does not match my executive report's data, nor my notifications. I'll be opening a bug report so the devs can track this better.
