Scheduled Downtime host vs. services

If I setup a host to have downtime for a day, will the service notifications also go down for the same time or will services continue to send emails? We have a major system change going in over the weekend and we want to make sure that NagiosXI (R2014) is not sending tons of alerts.

By default no, you will find though, as you go to schedule downtime it does give you the option to schedule it for all services under the host as well. From Home > Host Detail > 'host name' > Advanced.
