PDF Saving Filename issue

Save as pdf is saving as histogram.php. Have to manually change the file extension to pdf after saving.
Same problem in Firefox 30 and also IE 9

Save as csv is saving correctly as .csv

I was not able to recreate the issue in house. I can save PDFs just fine in all major browsers.

Were you able to save PDFs successfully in the past? Have you made any changes to the system prior to seeing this problem? Try to save a report as PDF, then run:

and show us the output in code wraps.

BTW, this is the listing of the directory. createpdf.php and execsummary.php does not have execute permission.

Permissions are fine. This is not your issue.

Are you right-clicking on the "PDF" icon (Download As PDF) and selecting "Save Link As..."? You need to left-click on the "PDF" icon to view the report then click on "Save a copy" (the diskette icon) within the report. You can use the right-click->save link as..., but you will need to rename the extension of the file to ".pdf". Let me know if this helped.

I am clicking not right clicking. Anyway see the screenshots below.

Can you open the report in the browser, when you go to: Reports->Alert Histogram->right-click on the PDF icon, and select "Open Link in New Tab"? What happens, when you left-click, and change the file extension from "php" to "pdf"? Can you view the report then?

It comes out with a save dialog with the php extension but says it is a PDF file type

Yes, as updated earlier in this thread, the file is a PDF just the extension is wrong.

Change "Always ask" action to "Use Adobe Reader (default)" or to "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)", or to anything else that you might use to view PDFs in the browser. Click "OK".

See if you can open PDFs now. If you can open the report as a PDF, you can click on the "Save" button within the report to save it.
