Hello,
I have a reason to grant access to the core config manager of access in a read-only setup to some people so they can see more detail on how some service checks are setup. At this point, it does not look like that is possible to do but would like to know if anyone else has figured a way that a user can access the CCM interface but not be able to make any changes.
Thanks,

Re: Read-only CCM access for NagiosXI
Correct, you cannot currently do this, however, you may be able to get the information you are looking for by navigating to Home > Service Detail > "Service Name" > Configure > Reconfigure. Unfortunately I don't believe this will work for read only, but if you did have users which were looking for this information, it would be there.
You could also navigate to http://addr.of.xi.server/nagios and log into the Nagios Core interface, then navigate to "Configuration".

Thanks. I tried that first option from the XI interface and it does not work for us since we use the CCM interface to configure all of out checks.
The second option though worked great by going the older Nagios Core interface.
Thanks.

Good to hear. I'll be closing this thread now, but feel free to open another if you need anything in the future!
