Service Groups

Post by costanza2k1 »

I have 2 Servicegroups created 1 for Production Alerts and 1 for Test Alerts, I've always been able to add services from Test to Production by selecting as many as I want and then applying config. Recently this won't work anymore and the services remain in Test. I have no errors in the configuration at all. I can manually go into each service and assign the right service group. Is there anything else I can do or look at?

When you go to the CCM->Service Groups->Modify->Manage Services, do you see the services as "grayed out"? Maybe they have been added the other way (through the service objects)...

They aren't grayed out, I add them...they show as added...when I apply they don't show up in the right group.

Are you sure you were able to apply configuration successfully?

Go to the CCM->Service Groups->View Text Configs, and show us the servicegroup definition of a "problem" group. This is what is in the database.

Next, open the "/usr/local/nagios/etc/servicegroups.cfg" file in a text editor, and show us the servicegroup definition of the same group. This is what is in the actual config.

These two definitions should be identical if the configuration applied successfully.

Do you see something else in the GUI?
