Regarding Nagios XI Reporting Feature

Post by nishith »

Hello,

I am using Nagios Core 3x since 6+ years & happy to have it without any trouble.

Now, I would like to implement Nagios Server PDF Reporting. Means, Nagios Server should have capability to send "Hostgroup, "Serviceroup", "Individual Host & Service Status" on daily basis on a pre-defined email address in a PDF format.

Is it possible?

One possible solution would be this addon from our Exchange:

http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Ad ... df/details

It's listed as working for 3x so you should be able to use it, however it is a third-party solution so we can't really speak for its robustness.

Otherwise if you're interested in some more advanced features you might give Nagios XI a try. It has PDF reports built in.

Thanks for the information. I am seriously interested to buy Nagios XI to get all features in-built.

Added to this, I would like to know what type of license Nagios XI has? Means, If I buy single license for single Nagios Engine, shall I utilize it for another company to make a new Nagios XI Engine again?

From our Sales department:
Each license is approved or up to three installs: one production, one backup/failover, and one testing/development.

One Nagios XI license is required for each production install, so to run a Nagios XI server at a second location, a second license would be required.
If you have any sales-related questions, I would suggest emailing [email protected] for more details.

And if you would like to try out Nagios XI, we do offer a free 60-day trial, as well as a free one-hour session called a Quickstart to help you get going and answer any questions you may have, Details below:
