plugin for monitor server from HW level

Post by cyient »

Hi Team,

Do we have any plugin which can let us know the server hardware details from Bios level.

By using "check_openmanage" plugin we can check the RAID health of the server, but can we get the details as such Harddrive part no., in which bay the HDD is residing and no. of times the drives replaced.

Looking for plugin related to HP server also.

check_openmanage is by far the best plugin for this server. There are no "bios-level" plugins. You could contact hp for a mib/list of useful oids to check. One of their documented oids may fit your need.

Some of what you are asking could be retrieved using SNMP queries, it will just take some research on your part. It all depends on what the hardware manufacturer exposes to SNMP.
