Best Distro

Post by sir-bob »

Hi:

What is the best distribution of Linux for building a Nagios server on? The most painless one, if there is such a thing.I have been trying CentOS 6.5 and it has been nothing but a hell trip. I am pretty much done with it. My previous version of Nagios ran on SuSE, but I am no longer licensed for it so must use another distribution. The SuSE install was a lot less painful than CentOS has been up to now.

Thanks
SB

What specifically are you running into with CentOS? All of our pre-built VMs run CentOS and we use it internally.
