Hi,
We use the NagiosXI SNMP Trap Sender component to send traps to our common HP-NNM (HP Network Node Manager).
All traps recieved in HP-NNM has the nagiosxi host as source node, and inside the trap we se the host address
of the node causing the trap.
Would it be possible to have the host address of the 'problem host' as source address
for the trap instead of the nagiosxi host ?
thanks,

Re: SNMP Trap Sender issue
This could absolutely be a valid feature request, but as it stands not in the functionality of the trap sending component. I'm not sure how much this would get used, but I can definitely see the validity in wanting this in some specific cases. If you wanted to make a tracker.nagios.com feature request and post a link to it back here, I will make a corresponding internal request for it as well.
Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.
