XI and Core not showing same for a service

Ok, I changed a passive check to an active one and applied the configuration. If I look at the service in core it looks fine with all the proper information. In XI (2012r2.9) the service is this:

I tried clicking the check mark to enable active checks on this service and that is when things went haywire.

Nothing I do seems to be making a difference in XI.

Do your other active checks on that server appear to be scheduled fine? Their last and next times are consistent with the current time the system is on. Just to verify, this is happening on your 2012 r2.9 system right? If so, have you made any recent changes to the system? This is something I could possibly see happening on a brand new, latest release system but not on a stable 2012 r2.9 one.

Are you using gearman on this server? Did you make sure that this host/service is in a group that is being checked? The reason I ask is, I could totally see you not having added it to a group for active checking as it used to be passive.

At over 21k characters, this almost definitely will cause issues with displaying some aspects. My guess is you are getting messages in mysql log or /var/log/messages saying that it is over the allowed insert size as well. It should not however cause the check to never return or display a status change, or at least I wouldn't think so. How is this being returned to nagios, purely from gearman?

Actually, this isn't being handled by the gearman worker, this is being done locally by nagios. So basically we're screwed because the its so much data is what I am hearing

Has there been any progress on looking at the data I sent you Andy? I would greatly appreciate a test on your end as discussed to see if you see the same behavior when a script replies with the same data. That way we know if it is a bug with XI or something here? And then if it is a bug in XI, any chance it'll get resolved? As you saw in the remote session it worked perfectly fine in core.
