Capacity Planning

Post by allenwallach »

When going to Capacity Planning in Nagios XI, I select a server from the dropdown and then a server I want to see. We are seeing a lot of the following error when doing this:

could not open RRD file for reading, bad filename

We couldn't find any information on this. Would you please explain why we are receiving this error?

Thank you!

I was able to recreate this issue on some hosts. I filed an internal bug report, and our developers will be looking into this as soon as they can. We will let you know when a fix is available.

Yes, it was resolved on 8/4/14, it should be in the most recent version of XI which should have the updated capacity planning report, here is some info on the resolution:

"resolved, primary cause was all nan in rrd's causing dizision by zero error which we now catch"
