After the upgrade I reverted the change for one user and he is now able to access the hosts he was having issues with before. I'll report back if anything changes but I think we're good to go on this issue.

Upgrade went great, only had two issues: Failure prediction in host/service templates was enabled (commented out the setting on the affected templates), and performance graphing not working on my icmp checks (used the script to upgrade the RRD's without issue). So all good there.
