Sorry been covered up with another project, Trying to publish SharePoint on the web with 2012 R2 WAP and ADFS, wish I could find a forum on that as good as this one.

So what exactly do I need to do to monitor DHCP on a different subnet?

Does this make sense?
Basically you should set up NRPE and run it through that.

Hate to display my ignorance here, but once again, I have no idea what that means.

Can you provide a link to some documentation? Also, is this going to require a Linux box at those locations, or is this something that can be run under Windows?

No problem, it should have been a bit better fleshed out for you:

http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... _Agent.pdf

http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... ios-XI.pdf

Those should get you all installed and ready to go. You could do it on a Windows system if you prefer, but it would be easier to set up on a *nix system. Then you would place the check_dhcp plugin in the plugins directory on that system and set up an NRPE command. Let us know when you need help with that step. You'd need to find a plugin that would run on windows if you want to do it that way.

Thanks, the only problem is that only a couple of locations have Linux servers. I may just have to blow off DHCP checks, after all, if users are getting IP's it's working, if they're not, then it's not.

Let me talk to the powers that be and we'll see what we're going to do.

Go ahead and close this, I saved those .pdf's.
