set up Nagios for dummy

Post by ambal007 »

Hi.
I am new here, can anybody provide what to put in nagios.cfg file in Apache,
what ports, ip address, where to get them, what command. For example VM Ubuntu is server and Windows box is Client
also what role of plugins here, same need info what goes to its Apache config file
if its needed. It seems Apache is running. I am stuck with Nagios, its errors, messed up.
Thank you

This post seems to be all over the place, lets take this one at a time, can you post a reply with one subject that you want help with, and as much detail possible?

Also, I suggest you read http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/quickstart.html and especially the section at the bottom on Monitoring Linux machines.
