Good morning,
Is there a way to pull a list or report of the different OS versions of servers that we monitor with Nagios?

Re: Reporting
You could run autodiscovery with OS detection against a network block, Configure > Auto Discovery.

Re: Reporting
Whenever I attempt to do an auto discovery, nothing comes back as a result. What am I doing wrong?
Re: Reporting
How big of a range are you scanning? It's entirely possible that it is simply taking a long time due to how many hosts are on the network and how they respond to being scanned.

Re: Reporting
What are the versions of your Nagios XI server, auto-discovery component and wizard? What do you enter in the "Scan Target" field (show the format that you are using)?

We are using Nagios XI 2014R1.4
Auto Discovery 1.3
Auto Discovery 1.3
Re: Reporting
What do you enter in the "Scan Target" field (show the format that you are using)? For example: "192.168.1.0/24"... Do you have any "old" jobs? Have you scanned the same subnet before? Do you get a different output when you "refresh job list"?

Re: Reporting
I am entering in 10.201.1.0/25
We do not have any other jobs and when we hit refresh we get the same output.

Re: Reporting
I tested scanning x.x.x.x/25 subnet on one of my test boxes and it seemed to work fine.
On my box (Nagios XI 2014R1.4) I have:
Auto-Discovery Component ver. 2.04
Auto-Discovery Wizard ver. 1.3.1
You can update both, the component and the wizard by going to:
Admin->Manage Components->Browse->...->Upload Component
Admin->Manage Config Wizards->Browse->...->Upload Wizard
Note: click on "Check for Updates" button to see if there is a new version available. If you don't see any new version available, you can download them from the Nagios Exchange.
Let me know if this fixed your problem.
