NPCD not running

NPCD not running

Good morning,

For a week or so I've found NPCD not running. When I start it back it's off again the next time I check.

What is NPCD and what should I do about correcting this?

NPCD is responsible for properly processing your performance data and graphing. When you:

Code: Select all

service npcd restart
What does it output? Also, what is the output of:

tail -50 /usr/local/nagios/var/npcd.log

Code: Select all

tail -50 /usr/local/nagios/var/perfdata.log

Restarting the service just said it wasn't running and started it. Here's the last few lines of the log.

npcd.cfg is not a file I ever manually changed.

1. Did the red exclamation go away once you restarted npcd?
2. You are hitting load and threshold limits. Please perform the following FAQ entries to resolve the limit issues:
