Can't report less than 2 hours ago

Post by snapon_admin »

Just curious as to why I can't run reports for say , the last 30 minutes, or even the last hour. I get "There was no records returned for that report." when ever I try. If I run a report of the past 2 hours it's fine, but anything less than that doesn't work. There's data in the bandwidth graph from that time, but nothing in the report.

What is the version of the Nagios NA that you are currently using? I am not able to recreate the issue.

Is the server date/time/timzone correct? Is the php timezone correct as well?

Version 1.9. As for the time. That's weird. I assumed the time on the server was correct, because if you look at this screenshot (below) you'll see that the data in the graph is reporting the correct time. I have NTP configured to use the same NTP server that our XI server uses, but when I run 'clock' in the command line i get:

Code: Select all

[root@lisl-ngna-01-pv ~]# clock
Thu 18 Sep 2014 04:41:33 PM CDT -1.087680 seconds
Which is quite obviously the problem. How to I correct this to make the server get it's time from our ntp server? When we first set the server up it had the incorrect time so all our graphs were wrong, but when I configured ntp the graphs all started reporting the correct time so I figured all was well. Also, if I run 'date' I get the correct time, so....what do?

Code: Select all

[root@lisl-ngos-01-pv libexec]# date
Thu Sep 18 08:50:33 CDT 2014

K, corrected the clock issue but I'm still getting the same problem.

Code: Select all

[root@lisl-ngna-01-pv ~]# clock
Thu 18 Sep 2014 10:11:51 AM CDT -1.036403 seconds
[root@lisl-ngna-01-pv ~]# date
Thu Sep 18 10:11:57 CDT 2014

Just a heads up, you may need to wait a bit for the data to get collected as you now will have a gap in your graphs due to the time change.
Otherwise, this may be a bug that we will have to investigate further. Lets us know if the sub 2 hour report runs correctly after waiting for a few more hours.

K, went and did some other stuff, went home and grabbed some lunch, came back and tried it again. Same result.

Is this a "saved report"? Can you try running a "new" custom report with the same options (top 10, 30 min, source ip, bytes)?
