I have a piece of hardware that's sending messages out over port 1400 via TCP. I can see a number of plug-ins that just listen for a port, but not that parse the data coming from that port.
Am I missing simething?

Re: TCP Traps?
I can't say I have ever heard of tcp traps. Is this a known protocol or a common device, anything that we might use to look for plugins? Otherwise you will likely have to find a daemon that collects this, find a way to have it forward passive checks to nagios.cmd or find a way for an active check to check the local daemon.
Nagios-Plugins maintainer exclusively, unless you have other C language bugs with open-source nagios projects, then I am happy to help! Please pm or use other communication to alert me to issues as I no longer track the forum.
