Mobile text notification sent but not configured to do that.

Hello:
We are running Nagios XI 2014R1.4.
I am testing the notification feature, want only Email notification and not Mobile notification, and this is what is configured at this time:
A). Configure (black banner) - More Options - My Account Settings - Notification Options - Notification Preferences - Enable Notifications is unchecked.

B). Configure (black banner) - More Options - My Account Settings - Notification Options - Notification Methods - Mobile Text tab - Mobile Phone Text Message is unchecked.
and the following message appears at the top, too:
" Alert! You currently have notifications disabled for your account. Change settings if you would like to receive alerts."

I go to Configure (black banner) - More Options - My Account Settings - Notification Options - Send Test Notifications - Send Test Notifications button
and the following displays:
A test email notification was sent to <my correct notification email address>@<correct suffix>
A test mobile text notification was sent to <our standby cell phone number>@email.uscc.net

I do get a Mobile test message, which is NOT supposed to occur since I disabled notifications to begin with, as noted above.

Can someone shed some light on this for me, please?

You should have:

to enable notificaitons
and

Configure (black banner) - More Options - My Account Settings - Notification Options - Notification Methods - Email tab - Email = checked
Configure (black banner) - More Options - My Account Settings - Notification Options - Notification Methods - Mobile Text tab - Mobile Phone Text Message = unchecked

This way, notifications will be sent out only via email (not via mobile text).

Then you need to click on "Update Settings".

Hello:
Goal: Not have Nagios XI send notifications via Mobile.

I have included two attachments that are snapshots of my settings after applying the settings as per your request, did Update Settings, and clicked on the "Send Test Notifications". Our Standby Mobile phone still received a test notification.
Suggestions?

It seems this is a bug. You will need to clear the "Mobile Phone Number" and "Mobile Phone Carrier" carriers and click on "Update Settings".
It seems like clearing the "Mobile Phone Text Message" check-box is not enough to disable text alerts...
We already notified the developers about this issue. I expect this to be fixed in the next release of XI.

Are you receiving texts normally or only with the test command? I believe you should still properly *not* receive a text if you simply uncheck the box for text messages.

I can do a test by modifying one of my "test" Hosts to flag a false warning, and see if a Mobile message is sent or not while the Mobile Notifications option is unchecked.

I modified a Host by changing a partitions monitored usage size (10 - 15% instead of 90 - 95%), and scheduled an immediate check (Mobile notifications are unchecked/turned off). Result was no Mobile notifications received (this is good).

I turned on Mobile notifications, changed the Host setting back, scheduled an immediate check, and a "Recovery" Mobile notification was received.

It appears that turning off/on Mobile notifications under "normal" monitoring conditions works fine and not an issue. When turning off Mobile notifications and using the "Send Test Notifications", then a Mobile notification is still sent. Is that supposed to happen? It is misleading.

As ludmil mentioned, this is a bug. Unchecking that box and sending a test notification is supposed to *not* send a text notification.
