Un-schedule a downtime

Post by MacDschie »

Hi there,

how can I abort a scheduled downtime in Nagios 4? I have scheduled a flexible downtime for a host group and all the services of those hosts which should last for 20 hours, but due to a typo, it lasts for 200 hours now. And I don't find a button to undo this. I can remove the comment associated with the hosts or services regarding the downtime, but that will not end the downtime itself.

Also, I still receive notification messages for the affected hostgroup. In the status details, I see a little yellow clock icon with the hint text "This host/service is currently in a period of scheduled downtime". But when the state of the host or service changes, Nagios sends out a message. Has anyone a clue about that?

In core 4, core go to: System --> Downtime. Click the "trash" icon for the relevant downtime entry.

How do you have notifications configured? Could you be using an event handler instead of a contact notification handler?
