Hi there all gurus.
I`m new at this, i have been assigned a project with a running Nagios XI, i`ve got the most of it to work but....
There is one service that i cant get to run.
check_file_content!/mnt/path/filenamne.log!Export done, with warnings.!!!!!!
That one used to be on a linux machine but now it`s on a windows share....
What and how do i get nagios to access windows shares?
Plz help a noob.

monitoring file content on windows share
Re: monitoring file content on windows share
Probably the easiest way to accomplish this would be to write a custom script (vbs, powershell, etc.) that you can call with NSClient++ and check_nrpe.

You could also use NSClient++ on the server hosting the windows share and use the CheckFiles command.
