Hi
When a readonly user tries to see hypermap the user gets a not authorised message, however the user can see the normal network map. I am presently running xi 2011 r1.2 . The user has permissions to see only a few hosts.
Many Thanks
Arnab
Hypermap broken for read-only users
Re: Hypermap broken for read-only users
Arnab,
You can go to the "Admin" menu, then go to "Manage Users" in the Left panel menu and click on "Edit" button for the particular user. Then you can select as an Authorization Level: "User", and mark "Can see all hosts and services" and "Has read-only access". Now the read-only user should be able to see the Hypermap without any problems. I just tested it on Nagios XI R1.5. I logged in as a "read-only" user and I was able to see Hypermap just fine.
Now, you mentioned that the user is set up to see only a few hosts. Can you elaborate on what steps did you take to set it up.

It is confirmed that it is a bug in Nagios XI and we will be working on it. I posted it on the bug-tracker. You can check it out here:
