Used the web site wizard to add a server. Just took defaults on everything. Immediately got DNS Critical: expected "10.206.201.37" but got "svqcws1.ntnbower.com" Did some research and tried editing the parameters of the check_xi_service_dns command. Finally got it where it would return DNS Critical: expected "svqcws1.ntnbower.com" but got "svqcws1.ntnbower.com" This makes no sense to me.
At this point I decided to stop spending time on it and tried to delete the service. I tried disabling it and marking it as inactive, but it won't go away. Nothing seems to work and I am to the point where I would like to delete the host and its services, but I can't get that to work. It keeps saying there are dependencies, but I don't know what they are. Is there somewhere that I can just delete everything to do with this host and start over?

Re: Check DNS IP ciritical error
Use the checkboxes and the "with checked" dropdown to delete objects. The "red X" should be working once again as of the next version (2014r1.5 - out soon!).

Re: Check DNS IP ciritical error
Thanks. That allowed me to delete the services and host.

Great! did you want to keep this open while you test the dns issues?

Re: Check DNS IP ciritical error
Let's close it. I am trying a different approach now. Instead of using the web site wizard, I used the regular linux host wizard and added in the apache check. It is less problematic. Thanks.
